VT047 | Ying Wang: schmutz

After a long silence, Vortex Temporum is back with an extraordinary new episode by Chinese composer Ying Wang (Shanghai, 1976), an artist who seems to have returned from the future.
Set in a dystopian vision of 2076, Ying Wang takes us into a world where contamination is no longer an anomaly, but an all-encompassing reality. As air, water, and thought itself deteriorate, sound becomes a territory of control and filtration. Listening is reduced to a regulated experience, shaped by engineered white noise, enforced calm, and the gradual erasure of everything that might disturb it.
A haunting journey into a future where even sound is no longer free.
